The colors in this tapestry were inspired by the music and paintings of Miles Davis. The wedgeweave technique makes for a rather abstract iris plant, but I see the fountaining of the leaves as tracing the subtle energies of their growth, with the speckled black shapes of the blossoms spreading still pools in the busyness.
