SOLSTICE Wool warp, hand-dyed wool weft 36 by 60 inches Stripes underlie all pattern in weaving, as horizontal wefts are laid in one on top of another to form a textile that will hold its structure when removed from the loom. Here, I experiment with patterns of patterns of stripes, as well as with the circle, so elusive and simultaneously so enticing in the pixilated, rectangular medium of tapestry weaving. BACK HOME |
